THE SYSTEM

The DaoTiming method, in plain English.

DaoTiming computes three classical Chinese systems as engineering. The Four Pillar Blueprint reads your structure, Purple Star Astrology reads your year, and a Time Slice reading reads the moment. They share one vocabulary and one philosophy. This page explains each layer and how they fit together.

THE BUILDING BLOCKS

The Ten Aspects

Every structure is built from ten energies. They fall into five categories: Like-I, Capacity, Money, Power, and Entitled. Each category holds two aspects, and together they describe how a person generates, spends, controls, and receives.

When any of the Ten Aspects is unfavorable, it is only expressing itself in a low-level or unbalanced way. The work is to guide it toward a high-level, balanced expression. No aspect is good or bad on its own.

THE STRUCTURE

Four Pillar Blueprint

The Four Pillars, or Bazi, is an ancient Chinese system that studies five-elemental energy flow across four pillars: Year, Month, Day, and Hour. Each pillar is one Heavenly Stem and one Earthly Branch, which is why a reading is called eight characters.

Read it as a neural-network model of time-space energy built from 22 symbols, the Stems and Branches, which function like universal APIs. The chart maps how energy is produced and consumed across a life, and the Ten Aspects are how each relationship in that chart is named.

DaoTiming refines the classical method. A full reading uses six pillars, not four, adding the decade and year columns so the structure can be read against time. Bazi is not astrology. It describes structure, not fate.

THE YEAR

Purple Star Astrology

Purple Star Astrology, the DaoTiming Matrix, works from birth date and time to construct a chart of twelve palaces. Each palace holds a combination of stars, and the arrangement describes the scenarios of a life. The classical system has over 100 stars. DaoTiming streamlines this to 62. It is attributed classically to Chen Tuan.

The chart is read in layers:

TIMING LAYERS

  • The Four Transformations, which reshape how the stars behave.
  • Decade-Luck, the ten-year timing layer.
  • Annual-Luck, the year-by-year timing layer.

Where Four Pillar reads structure, Purple Star reads the year. It works like a life-strategy consultant: the same person, played out against a specific span of time.

THE MOMENT

Time Slice Reading

A Time Slice is a real-time, spatiotemporal reading. It cuts time into structured intervals and reads how the encoded variables in a single moment interact. The method descends from Qi Men Dun Jia, a classical Chinese time-based system, which DaoTiming has abstracted into a modern calculation engine. It is a calculation system, not a religion, and shares more DNA with combinatorial mathematics than with horoscopes. The number of possible board configurations runs into the hundreds of thousands.

Time Slice does something the field usually avoids: it publishes a public, self-scoring track record. Every reading is logged and resolved against real outcomes, including Polymarket markets. Nothing is curated, and misses are never removed.

THE PHILOSOPHY

Ontocraft Cultivation

Onto Craft joins onto- and -craft: the construction and forging of being. It is not a fixed doctrine but an open, self-forging operating system centered on individual sovereignty.

It moves through three questions:

  • What am I? — epistemology.
  • What can I be? — ontology.
  • What should reality be? — meta-ethics.

Its highest realm fuses the structural and the informational: structure is information, and information has structure. This is the philosophical layer under the charts, the reason the readings are tools rather than verdicts.

Ontocraft starts from one claim: the world is built from information first, and matter forms after it, drawn into shape by attraction. If that is true, the way you hold your attention is not passive. Consciousness guides energy, and energy settles into structure. Cultivation is the practice of using awareness deliberately, so your own structure is guided back toward balance. This is where Ontocraft meets the Kabbalah: the shared idea that reality is ordered by information, and that a person can take part in ordering it.

WHERE THE NAME CAME FROM

The direction reached me in a dream. I was on a mountain in Israel, sitting down to eat, and I saw writing I could not place. When I woke, I heard two words I had never encountered: Tikkun Olam — the repair of the world.

What the writing showed me was a correspondence. The Kabbalah's Tree of Life is built from ten spheres, the Sefirot. The Eastern system is built from ten energies, the Ten Aspects. They are the same ten. At the root, the two traditions describe one structure in two languages — so DaoTiming maps the Ten Aspects onto the Tree, and the same underlying energy can be read from either side.

With it came a task: to teach energy. To help people use information and attention to bring their own structure back into balance. Ontocraft is my attempt to build that into a system anyone can use.

The Flow Circuit belongs to this layer. It is the working tool of Ontocraft: a diagram that carries the conversion information your structure is missing, so that keeping it in view guides your energy along routes it would otherwise miss. You do not study it. Its presence is the mechanism.
